Understanding traffic lights

The pedestrian traffic lights have two colours:

Red Light with the figure of a Pedestrian standing still means “STOP” – DO NOT CROSS THE ROAD.

Just like you, when you stop playing when your teacher says, “Stop!”

Green Light with the figure of a walking pedestrian means “CROSS THE ROAD” with extra caution by looking both ways, as there might be a vehicle coming and could pose a danger.

Imagine this as a green carpet inviting you to cross.
